I have been lucky enough to have Barbara's help with several dogs over the years. From dogs with a bite history who have sent people to the hospital to puppy mill dogs who are shut down because they only know fear to wild adolescent dogs who don't have any idea how to effectively communicate with people, she is my go-to trainer/behaviorist. I love the question she asks, how she approaches each dog, and how she only uses positive reinforcement to guide the training. The quality I admire the most in Barbara's training is her ability to meet the dog where it is at. If the task being asked of a dog is too hard for the dog to successfully complete, she finds a way to scale it back so the dog and the family working with dog can succeed. Barbara brings an optimism backed by her vast experience to each training session and she always takes the time to evaluate the dog so she's able to create an effective training regimen. I've been lucky enough to work with Barbara in person and on Zoom and both platforms are effective. My current dog, Molly, had a bite history before she came to me in 2022. Thanks to Barbara, Molly and I have established a solid relationship based on trust and communication around food (especially her food bowl) and we have not had any incidents. In addition to the resource guarding, Molly also lacked impulse control and had no frustration tolerance at first...she was 7 years old when I got her so Molly's behaviors were deeply ingrained in her by then. It is only because of the work and learning we did with Barbara that Molly and I have been able to develop an amazing relationship. People we meet are always surprised to hear that Molly was anything but the perfect well-rounded companion by my side that they see. I trust Barbara to help me, and any dog get from point A to point B, regardless of the issue at hand. Hire this woman or anyone who works at BADDogs, Inc!

There is no better place to get your knowledge and attitude about dog training better focused, than by Barbara at BADDogs Inc. She helped us with our rescued Shepherd, Rey, to be better understood and for to better relate to her. She also helped refine the best behavior out of our Black Lab, Ellie. Who is now part of a therapy dog group. Barbara not only helped Rey and Ellie, but she also gave us new and better insight on what dogs want to do and how they want to please us. Barbara is a true ‘Dog Whisperer’. We will definitely return to BADDogs with our new Blonde Labrador, Finn.

I have used Barbara several times over the last years! She was the only one that helped me with one of my dogs that was Rottie/mastif. He was fearful of strangers. She taught me to walk him with confidence and taught him commands! He was 150 pounds and used to drag me! He also would growl at people walking by. I was able to walk him on command and use hand signals. It was a wonderful experience for myself and my dog! She also helped us with 2 shepherds who went crazy when they saw the lease! Getting out the door was impossible! All 3 of those dogs are now in doggie paradise as we lost them to old age and 1 to cancer! We now have Boxers and she helped us with those 2 love bugs! I highly recommend her!

I have top show dogs and Barbara has always started working with them at around 12 weeks. They start with their puppy CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and then to their adult qualification. They are also service dogs and therapy dogs thanks to Barbara. Teaching dogs from a young age makes a huge difference starting their show life. They are well socialized because of her mixed puppy classes which are great. The facility couldn't be more perfect. She has private classrooms and an extra large communal class that has plenty of room to do agility and show training. I keep going back to Bad Dogs as the dogs are happy and couldn't be more excited when they arrive and when they see Barbara they go crazy kissing her. When we are in the area we will stop by to say hello as my girl still loves to join in one of the classes. Thank you Barbara and your team for all that you do for the dogs in our community.

Barbara is amazing! She gave us great training tips for our newly rescued pup and they started working immediately. Our little pup has anxiety issues and Barbara was able to give us solid techniques that were extremely effective. She also helped us understand how dogs experience stressful situations. I joined the Puppy Club at BADDogs Inc., Family Dog Training & Behavior Center in April with my 4 month old Labrador Retriever.
